What a joke of a franchise. McDavid is gonna be begging for a trade in a year, Oilers will accommodate and receive... Andrew Ladd.

Turning Eberle into Sam Gagner is fantastic. You can't make this stuff up !!

He's had a couple good games I guess and Rittich hasn't looked great. They really need both to play well as neither is good enough to put the team on their back IMO.

He figures that we will have Andre Burakovsky in the next couple of days.

How does everyone feel about that if it is true?

I believe he speculated Frolik going the other way as part of the deal.

I think he meant the Columbus goalie, and I am not sure the flames have the cap for that kind of deal frolik or not.

And yet both the Oilers and the Flames have won but 1 playoff round in the last 9 years. I hope for all of your sakes that this sad little fact changes this Spring.

Also, Chiarelli (a pox upon him and his seed) is gone. Not saying the next GM is gonna be that much better, but he's sure as (frank) not gonna be worse.

No, they shouldn't be rolling the dice at this point. They're fighting for top spot in the West. They should be playing whichever goalie has been playing better, and recently that's been Smith. Don't worry, Rittch isn't going to rot and will have a chance to earn the top spot back.

And Parsons? Why? Because he was great for his junior team three years ago? He hasn't been able to stop pucks since he turned pro. He's years away from being an NHL goalie if he ever even gets there.

I genuinely feel bad for you guys. When Chia signed, we all knew what was going to happen - he seems to have a hate on for very talented players (Hall, Seguin, Kessel).

Flames have been steadily building over the last few years, if we can figure out the damn goalie situation, I'd feel a lot better.

You may have severed the wound but the infection is still there. Kevin " I know a thing or 2 about winning" Lowe must be proud of his 13 year rebuild. How any franchise can squander that many 1st oa picks is mind blowing.

As Flames fans we have hope that are team is going to give us some playoff hockey for the next few years, that's more than Oiler fans can say. You have McDavid, but for how long? It's a sad situation in Edmonton so sad it's even hard to hate them now.
